Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge (aka Ribbon Fantasy Fudge)

  1. Combine 1 1/2 cup sugar, 6 tablespooons margarine, and 1/3 cup of evaporated milk in heavy 1 1/2 quart saucepan - bring to full rolling boil, stirring constantly
  2. Continue boiling for 4 minutes over medium heat, stirring constantly to prevent scorching
  3. Remove from heat, stir in chocolate pieces until melted
  4. Add 1 cup (1/2 jar) of the marshmallow creme and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  5. Beat until well blended and pour into greased 13" X 9" pan
  6. Repear process with remaining ingredients, but substitute peanut butter for chocolate pieces and spread over chocolate layer
  7. Cool at room temp and then cut!
